TOTAL DARKNESS = Good Friday

  1. We have read news of impending days of darkness.
And we were told to prepare some blessed candles and holy water.  This should not worry us because we have generators and rechargeable led flash lights.
What really is this total darkness? In the spiritual life, this is the absence of the truth and absence of the good. It is when the mind and the heart are not able to attain its object, the ultimate truth and good which is God.
But God, in His Providence, had provided us with all means to know the truth and the good. So why will there be darkness? Because it is a punishment from God; when it is God, Himself, Who causes the darkness because of man's hard heartedness.
In the history of men, there had been many eras described as days of darkness. They are even described as 'dark ages.' Hard-heartedness had been a bad habit of the human race.

     2. Darkness described in Quito, Ecuador.
A threat of these days of darkness was described in Quito, Ecuador, in the 1500s. It was described by the Blessed Virgin of Good Success to Blessed Mariana de Jesus Torres.  It happened this way. The Blessed Virgin appeared to Mother Mariana one evening and told her to go to the chapel. Imagine a Spanish designed chapel in the 1500. The Church was usually made of thick walls, high windows, lots of shadow and huge thick wooden doors. There was no electricity and only a sanctuary lamp lighted to declare the Presence of God in the tabernacle.
And the Blessed Virgin tells this Spanish nun to go inside this chapel in the middle of the night, alone. And shows her the state of the Catholic Church in the 20th century. Then the only light from the sanctuary lamp goes off. And Mary says; 'this will be the state of the church.' It must had been pitch dark. A world where the truth and the good are completely absent is almost unimaginable. St. Augustine would described this as 'total evil.'

     3.Good Friday.
If we try to imagine a world completely deprived of truth and good, it would be Good Friday. There was a little truth and good left on Good Friday but absolutely nobody noticed it. They even crucified the little truth and good there was. So on Good Friday, with the only Truth and Good crucified, we have the closest picture of a world in total darkness. And the Blessed Virgin said that the 20th century would be exactly like this.  Well, we can check it up since we are here, year 2000.

     4. Let us describe a day of darkness.
Most men will be liars and traitors and we won't know who is what. There is a price for evil. Man will do evil at any price. Judas will be the epitome of darkness. 'And it was night.' What happened? Because the devil have entered into him.
The days of darkness is when God allows the devil free hand upon the earth for the testing of man. And confusion is the ambiance for the devil's work. Isn't this the platform of the 'greedy rich' to increase their earnings, to cause confusion around the world? Isn't total confusion the picture of Good Friday? Let us go into more detail.
The good will be called bad; and the bad will be called good. The bad will be forced on everyone while the good will be prohibited for everyone. The emphasis will be in the suppression of the good.  Good priest and bishops will be silenced if not rendered neutral against evil. All good works will be demonized; while evil will be divinized world wide. The bad will be prosperous while the good will be in poverty by choice.
The lies will be partly in theology because the evil do not know theology.  The natural sciences will be filled with lies.
The confusion will be instigated by Lucifer so it will be preternatural in nature; sort of magical, therefore, attractive. The State and the Church will join in doing evil, as the Romans and the Pharisees joined in crucifying Christ.

     5. This attack will be on a population already spiritually weakened and susceptible to evil. With a fallen nature, man had deteriorated with an unthinking mind and a perverted will due to its undisciplined  way of life and life of hedonism. This is not a picture of five foolish virgins with lamps without oil and light. It is a picture of five foolish virgins who have ceased to be virgins.
It is, indeed, a huge Spanish thick-wall chapel in the middle of the night, with only one lighted sanctuary lamp that has gone out. Nothing can be seen; not even the tabernacle. A Good Friday, indeed, where the Ark of the Covenant was gone. As prophesied for today,  preached by some Jesuits and a Dominican General crying out that Christ is not in the Eucharist, it must be pitch dark, indeed, because Christ does not seem to be in the Masses and in the tabernacles.
Darkness is the absence of God. God withdraws and the devil takes over. The atmosphere is total confusion.

     6. The days of darkness is a Divine Chastisement when God separates the good from the bad; where the good are perfected by an act of God due to their goodness; their rise to holiness is humanly inexplicable.  While the bad becomes worse by an act of the devil due to their evilness, also, humanly inexplicable.  So evangelization ceases on this day. Praeternatural  forces takes control even over elections, but they don't necessarily win.
No one was evangelizing on Good Friday. Today, Lent,  is the sixth day, evangelization ceases, and a 'new' evangelization takes over.  Current missiology and Pope Francis' missionary of Mercy will not work this day.  St. Bonaventure described the 'new' evangelization'  as 'contemplatives' helping good souls towards perfection. How about the bad?
During these dark days pagans, cardinals, bishops, priest, nuns and lay eucharistic ministers will be in both sides, good and bad. And probably even Popes, one on one side, and one on the other side.  This is what makes it confusing.

     7. The restraining force.
It is during these dark days, that had happened many times in the history of man, that God raises chosen laymen to aid the Church in a natural way. We have mentioned this in previous post. It is called the Josiah Phenomenon. They are usually head of nations for them to be more effective to do God's work. In the past we had Constantine, Charlemagne, King Otto the Great. We have mentioned some newly elected heads who we greatly suspect will spark a moral renewal in aid of the hidden Church who will lead the spiritual renewal. Putin seems to lead the pack with his procession of the crosses in St. Petersburg.
It will be a renewal in spirit and in truth. It will be an evangelization in spirit and in truth. It will be a Church, not in the Vatican, Rome; not in Westminster, England. Because the true Church will be in spirit and in truth. They are only visible in their bodies. Their spirits and the truths they believe in will not be visible to others.

       8. Who will survive these days of darkness?
The same ones who survived the first days of darkness. St. Bonaventure in his 'Theology of History' described them as 'those who return to the primitive spirit of Christianity. Their main reason for  believing is 'ex auctoritate,' wrote St. Bonaventure.
These are the first Christians who when asked 'why do you believe'  their answers were the same; 'Because Christ said so.' The more sophisticated theologian would answer; 'because it is in Divine Revelation.' That's the same.
They are in no way like the present day Christians who when asked the same question would answer; Vatican II, Pope Francis, Cardinal Kasper, Bishop Baron, Father Reese said so. Who are they? Members of the Vatican II Church whose bible is the 'open society foundation' handbook. Any similarity with the primitive Catholic Church? Absolutely nothing.

THE 6TH DAY. on the MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION.

 1. 'On the 6th day.'
Genesis begins with the narration of creation in seven days . These seven days are the seven stages of the Catholic Church beginning  with its birth extending up to it's being mature at the end of the world. The Catholic Church begins like a baby, she grows up to be a young child, an adolescent and ends up as a mature adult on the sixth day. The Church rests on the Sabbath and is brought to heaven on Easter Sunday.
The sixth day is the main focus because there the Church  becomes mature and pleasing to God. Thus on the sixth day man was created; he was the superior creation; above all the other creatures. The Church follows that pattern and becomes the mature Church on the sixth day.

These seven days pattern depicting the seven stages of the Church in her history is repeated in the life of Christ; who together with His apostles represents the Catholic Church. We see the beginnings of the Church with the Holy Family. Then she grows with the initial call of the apostles Peter, Andrew, James and John.  The Church grows mature through the Lenten season and is perfected on Easter and Pentecost. In the Liturgy, The Church becomes mature in Lent and perfected in Easter and Pentecost. Being mature in Lent is represented by the sixth day or Good Friday. The whole Lenten Season is described as the sixth day. Thus the Lenten Sundays readings begin with the narration of the sixth day of creation and the Second Sunday of Lent Gospel begins with 'and after six days Jesus went to the Mount of Transfiguration.'

2. Sixth day in the Mount of Transfiguration.
Jesus went up the Mount with Peter, James and John. The three, together with Elijah and Moses,  made up the Catholic Church in her maturity. And that is how mature we should look like on the sixth day, which according to St. Bonaventure and Pope Benedict XVI is today, year 2000 AD.

The Catholic Church should look like this; there is Jesus Christ, the three apostles Peter 'who was fervent for Christ,' John 'who was specially loved',  and James 'who was a warrior against adversities of the Faith.'
Then there was Moses, example of meekness and legislator to show that the Church is not a transgressor of the law. And Elijah who had a zeal for God and who was holier among the prophets showing he does not go contrary to God. These are the reasons given by St. Thomas Aquinas why these personages were present at the Mount of Transfiguration. They represent the Catholic Church in her maturity on the sixth day of creation in Lent.

3. The testimony of God.
Then God gave His testimony showing His pleasure with the Church. God said; first, 'This is My beloved Son,' secondly, ' in whom My favor rests,' thirdly, ' listen to Him.'
First, the Church is not the true natural son of God. But the Church can be the adopted son of God if she obeys the commands of Jesus Christ. At the sixth day, the Church must know all the commands of Christ; know how those commands must be obeyed. And she must have obeyed all the commands of Christ. This is how the members of the Church become the adopted children of God.
Secondly, how does a person become 'good?' Ordinarily a person loves another person because the other person is good. It is not loving the other that makes the other good. He is already good, that is why we tend to love the other. In God, it is the opposite. When God loves a person, the person becomes good. It is God's love for the person that makes the person good. No human love can make the other person good. Only God's love for the person can make the other person good.
So God's favor will only rest in you if God had loved you, thus making you good. God will love you if you have become His adopted child through obedience to Christ's commands. But wait. God's favor will not right away rest in you when He loves you. There is a difference between God loving you and God resting His favor in you.
When you have obeyed Christ's commands, God will love you as His adopted son. Then He will love you for being His adopted son. When God loves you, His love will make you good. If you use this goodness for good, then and only then will his favor rest in you. If you misuse this good, then His favor will not rest in you.
Thirdly. Only when you have become the beloved adopted son of God, only when you have become good because He loved you for being His adopted son, only when you have used the goodness He has given you well.......will God's favor rest in You.
All Catholics should be like this in the sixth stage of the history of the Catholic church as portrayed in the seven days of creation.

4. The Church today is not mature.
Basing it in the image of the Catholic Church on how she should look like on the sixth day, portrayed by the six personages in the Mount of Transfiguration with their virtues presented by St. Thomas of Aquinas..........the present church of the Vatican with Pope Francis and most of his bishops have absolutely no similarity with the church portrayed in the Transfiguration. Well, you might say 'it is a different church.' You are right. It is a church that is completely different from the Church of Scriptures and the Fathers as portrayed in her theology of history portrayed in the seven days of Creation; and in which is remembered in the Liturgy of the Second Sunday of Lent in the Gospel of the Transfiguration.

The present Vatican church does not have the fervent spirit of St. Peter in learning and preaching the Commandments of Christ.  It does not look like John's soul that could be specially loved by Christ; neither, at least, by me. Today's church is not, like James, a warrior against adversities of the Faith; in fact, the present church is the adversaries of the true church of the Transfiguration. Todays church is unlike Elijah who did nothing contrary to God. And finally, today's Vatican church is unlike Moses who was zealous in not transgressing the law of God.

5. The present Vatican church did not grow up to maturity. It is not ready to meet and be judged by Christ the King. It is a church that is going neither to its Easter nor its Pentecost. It is going nowhere except to ............. where is she? The next Lenten Masses will show us.

POLARIZATION

 1. St. Paul's Polarization.
Lent assumes that we are all at the end of the street of repentance,  because by this time the Gospel had been preached throughout the whole world either by preachers or by mass media. So, Lent describes the whole world as a group that have reached the end of the line, the 6th day. The 6th day, the day before the Sabbath, had been reached; some are in the right street, some are off the street, some are still struggling half-way in the street, others had not yet begun walking through the street.......and a very few have reached the end of the street, have found the Church of the sixth day and have entered it. This last group is described by the Lenten Liturgy and by St. Bonaventure. This is the group Pope Benedict had been looking for whenever there is an 'Ad lumina visits' by bishops in the Vatican. He would ask them; 'have you seen this Church in your diocese?' Most of the bishop's answer is 'No,' which shows the state of the Catholic Church. From their answers She does not exist.

2. For Christ or against Christ.
The battle had been for Christ or against Christ. Better still, the battle is between God, the angels and the saints on one side; and the devil on the other side. Of course, there is no contest. God will surely win but God allows this to test man; to see whose side he will take. What preparation did God teach man to overcome the attacks of the devil?
In the Gospel on the temptations of Jesus, note that Jesus overcame all the three temptations of the devil. These three temptations summarizes in ascending order all the temptations of the devil. To fall into the first temptation of gluttony is the least serious sin. Pride, the next temptation is more serious. Ambition, the third is the most harmful sin. When a soul falls in the first temptation, he becomes open to easily fall into the second temptation, and so on. The idea is not to fall at all. And this is what Christ demonstrated in the Gospel.
But before Christ faced the devil in combat, he did two things; first, He became the Son of God in baptism. Secondly, he prayed and fasted in the desert. After which the devil tempted Him.
St. Thomas of Aquinas wrote that we must, also, do these two things before venturing into the world. It is more important for those who will preach in the world, otherwise, we will just constantly fall into sin. And for every sin we side with the devil against Christ.

3. We cannot continue to commit sin by falling into temptations because of the expected polarization that is expected. What happens during the polarization? Let us try to present it graphically to easier understand it. Let us divide the world into two parts; souls that are 51% pro God and the other souls that are 49% pro God. The 51% is above the mid point, while the 49% is below the mid point. During the polarization, the 51% will by the grace of God go higher to 100%; while the 49% will go lower to 0%. This might not illustrate the doctrine but this is the closest I can demonstrate what happens during the polarization. It is based on the teaching of St. Thomas that he who progress will continue to progress while those who regress will continue to regress during this time. This is not what happens all the time.
This is noticeable world wide; the terrorist were not as bad as today. While the saints, as prophesied in Scripture, are  holier than before. Some American voters were not described as bad in two previous elections. Some were described as bad in the last election. And they are even worse after the last election. On the other hand, some US voters voted for immoral candidates but chose a moral candidate in the last election. There is a noticeable swing of votes.
With mass media, polarization is even more accented. And this is occurring all over the world. It is a replay of Good Friday where Jerusalem was clearly divided into two; those who followed Christ silently and those who shouted 'Crucify Him.' The latter being the bigger crowd.

4. The Polarization is greater in the spiritual realm considering the many new doctrines flooding the Church.
The battle is between those with Faith vs those without Faith. The latter is overwhelmingly the more. And sadly, the news show cardinals, bishops and priests falling like flakes away from God.
And daily we read news of bishops siding with God a few weeks ago and are now totally on the other side. I have often questioned my friend bishops how many Catholics are lost to the Protestant sects. They have stopped counting. The polarization happening today is unstoppable. Seeing loved ones going worse every day is distressing; while seeing common people becoming holy is exhilarating.
Will the 49% descend hopelessly? No. They will descend automatically but if great effort with the help of grace is applied, they can easily ascend to holiness.  The scenario during the polarization is that we have very little time. On Good Friday, the sixth day, there was little time between shouting 'Crucify Him,' to repentance. In fact, Judas could not make it.

5. Who make up the allegorical 51%? They make up the Catholic Church on the sixth day. This Church was described by St. Bonaventure and further explained by Pope Benedict. Christ described it as true worshippers who worship in spirit and in truth. The words 'Catholic church' was not used to describe her. When this 51% rise up to 100% pro God then they make up the Catholic Church.

THE FOUR VISIBLE SIGNS OF THE CHURCH AND THE 7 DAYS OF CREATION. - The Lenten Spirit.

 1. The street and the house at the end of the street.
Let us return to Hilaire Belloc's picture of repentance because it is exact, clear, and complete. There is a street that leads to the house at the end of the street.Walking the full length of the street is the life of repentance, the lesson we learn during the Lenten season. At the end, we must enter the house which is the Catholic Church.
Now, let us go into the ascetical, doctrinal and moral details of this image. We must be certain that we have the right moral description of the street; and the right dogmatic description of the Church. Otherwise we will end up somewhere else we do not want to be.
First, the street is the life of repentance. This is the way of life explained to us by Holy Mother the Church during her Lenten Liturgy. This way of life is putting into practice what is learned during  evangelization; so in living the life of repentance during Lent, we learn the commandments of Christ and how to do them, as correctly taught by Scriptures and interpreted by the Fathers of the Church.

We have mentioned before that we must first learn the commands of Christ like 'Pray unceasingly.' Then we must learn how to obey that command by studying St. Augustine's treatise on the 'Our Father.' or any other treatise on prayer written by the Fathers of the Church. We must consult both Scriptures and Tradition because the 'commands' are found in Scriptures but 'how to put it into practice' can only be read from Tradition. Both are  part of evangelization. Today, the church know neither.
We can quantify the commandments of Christ at about 80 in number, from the Gospel of Matthew alone. If we have learned and obeyed a few, like two or three commandments, then we can say that we are partly along  the way on the street towards our goal, the Catholic Church. And if we have learned and obeyed 75 or majority of the commands of Christ, then, we can safely say that we are almost at the house, the Catholic Church.

2. The temptations along the way. The journey is not easy and smooth.
Let us return to our journey along the street that lead to the Church. From the beginning, i.e. when we have just learned and obeyed two or three commands of Christ, the devil will sprinkle temptations along that main street in an effort to divert our journey. These temptations may be summarized into three; and they will, always,  be reduced into these three temptations; first, external temptations like food. Secondly, internal temptations like pride. Thirdly, internal temptations like ambition. Of course, this will come from Satan to force us to leave the true Way that leads to the Catholic Church.

3. The visible appearance of the four visible signs.
As the soul learns two or three commands, he begins to view from afar and, at the same time, posses one of the visible signs of the Catholic Church enumerated in the Nicene Creed. This is, usually, the fourth sign 'Apostolic' (we begin from the end.) But he is not yet a Catholic because he must have this sign in its fullness together with the other three visible signs; One, Holy and Catholic.  In effect, he still has a long way to go.
As the soul learns and obeys the commands of Christ, the visible sign from afar and in him,  Apostolic, becomes clearer, while the third sign, Catholic, begins to appear from afar and in his soul 9the soul notices the visible signs from afar because he sees it first within himself.  When the soul learns and obeys all the 80 commands of Christ, the soul will begin to see the four visible signs in the true Church while seeing them absent in other churches; he will, also, exhibit in himself all the four visible signs of a true  Catholic as enumerated in the Nicene Creed; i.e. One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic.
He will only understand this sign through natural theology but not yet through supernatural theology.  He will not fully understand these signs. He will still need the infuse grace from God to fully understand these signs, apply them to himself and  analyze whether this parish, diocese, priest, or bishop have these four signs.
Without this infuse grace, we have the present situation where everybody, Pope, cardinals, bishops, priests and laymen cannot prove that they are Catholics.  They cannot equally check if others are Catholics. In short, without infused knowledge, the Catholic Church, for practical purposes,  is non-existent.
This infused knowledge on the deeper understanding of the four visible signs of the true Church is part of Faith but eventually becomes certain when looking back. St. Catherine of Sienna described it as looking back at the bridge that she had just past through.

4. Natural theology plus infused theology.
The four visible signs of the true Church, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic can be learned by everyone because they are visible signs; meant to be so by God so all men can know which is the true Church......and hopefully enter it. Which, of course, is not always the case. This is natural theology for everybody.
For the true seeker of the truth, however, one infused knowledge added to the infused knowledge of a deeper understanding of the four signs is still needed; the image of the Church corresponding to the 7 days of creation. This is supernatural theology.

5.  The Sixth Day of creation read at the beginning of Lent.
The 7 days of creation is described at the beginning of Genesis precisely as an outline for the trending of the Catholic church in history; to inform Catholics what will happen to the Church from the beginning up to the end of times. So Catholics can make provisions and adapt to her accordingly. This infused knowledge is of utmost importance that it goes with the four visible signs of the true Church. If we know the visible signs, we will know the exact day of creation our era corresponds. If we do not know one, we will not know the other. To be able to enter the Catholic Church we must know both.
If is for this reason that practically all the Fathers of the Church wrote on the 7 days of creation. The Lenten season is the beginning of the 6th day of creation, which is Friday. The first reading describes the 6th day, i.e. the creation of Adam and Eve.
St. Bonaventure was the Seraphic Doctor who tried to find out on what day of creation his era correspond to, using the treatise by St. Augustine. To show that this is infused knowledge, Bonaventure made a mistake thinking that his era corresponded to the sixth day. Knowledge of the day of his era was not yet infused in him by God so he did not know it. It seems that no one today had been given this infused knowledge of either the deeper knowledge of the four signs nor the corresponding day of creation. Absolutely no one, except Pope Benedict XVI. He, alone, gave the right information about the two that could come from infused knowledge directly from God. And he said so; 'it came from a revelation from God.'

6. God, rarely, gives these infused knowledge. One must disposed himself to deserve it. And the description of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church on the 6th day is the proper disposition that will make that Church deserve to receive these infused knowledge. They, alone will know which is the true Catholic Church, who are the true Catholics, who are the fakes AND that it is the 6th day in the history of the Church. And they, alone, know the theology of the history of the Church.
The History of the Church had been prophesied in Scriptures. And the Fathers of the Church devised the theology of the History of the Church as laid down in the 7 days of Creation. One of the most extensive theology of the Church was written by St. Bonaventure that nobody seems to be quoting today. In that treatise we can find the description of the sixth day, whose full understanding was not yet infused on him by God.
Fortunately, Ratzinger made this treatise his thesis. As Pope, it seems, that God bestowed on him the infused knowledge to understand the 6th day. He announced what he learned on Christmas Day. Then he seems to resign from the Papacy. Nobody understood why; because we need infused knowledge to understand the actions of a man who acts by infused knowledge.

7. Conclusion.
The Catholic Church with its four visible signs enumerated in the Nicene Creed and as described corresponding to the sixth day of creation  does not exist in the Vatican church nor in most dioceses, parishes or any lay organization. It does not exist in the persons of Pope Francis or in most of the cardinals, bishops, priests, nuns or laymen. Everyone can check it themselves because the signs should be in each one of us; we are either for Christ or against Christ.
The so-called Catholic Church today does not correspond to the image of the Catholic Church described in Scriptures and in the Fathers of the Church. In fact, it is the opposite.
Then how can we know and enter the Church?  Still the way Hilaire Belloc described it. But this time the true Church will be as Christ described it to the Samaritan Woman; 'the time will come that true worshippers will worship in spirit and in truth.' It will not be the Church that we knew it and described by the present Pope, cardinals, bishops and priests. It will be a Church 'in spirit and in truth.' What does that mean? St. Thomas of Aquinas had something nice to say about it.

TRAITORS !!!

   1. Treason!
As if it was not bad enough. On Good Friday,  the Roman foreign power who was in control of Jerusalem, the High priest, the Pharisees and the Scribes were all against Christ, the Jewish crowd was against Christ. And one Apostle was a traitor.
The apostles were in hiding; and a handful were helplessly watching the execution of a God  totally unable to do anything about it. Good Friday was a picture where Lucifer seems to be completely in charge yet it was, in fact, a picture were God was completely in charge. Contradiction was common in Scriptures that Christ, Himself, was to be a sign of contradiction.
At that time, there was totally no voice preaching the way of salvation, The only voice being heard a day ago had itself become silent. There was no way for anyone to know the way inside the Church. Christ had preached but everybody forgot the name of the street and the number of the house........'this is the desolation announced by the Blessed Virgin of Good Success, pre-figured on Good Friday, that will occur this 20th century.
Good Friday is the well discussed sixth day of St. Bonaventure that the whole Catholic church had been watching for.  Much literature had been written on the topic and Robert Benzon, famed son of an Anglican Bishop, who converted and became a Catholic priest,  popularized this in his 'Lord of the Word.'
Pope Benedict's thesis to qualify for professorship is on this topic. The topic became more important for Ratzinger when he became Pope because his rule must depend on knowledge on what day of creation the Church is in. His apparent retirement shows he solved St. Bonaventure's problem and entered the office of the Papacy of the Catholic Church of the sixth day.

The Catholic Church as it will look like on the Sixth day is described very specifically and clearly in Scriptures, the Fathers and by Pope Benedict. Anyone who knows the description will surely agree that we are on the sixth day, the day before the Sabbath; the Sabbath being described in Scriptures as the 'Day of Rest, (the day of rest being the symbol of the Life of Contemplation which is the  perfection of the catholic Faith.)
Being LENT we shall describe as much as possible how the Church look like on the sixth day, beginning with the four visible Marks enumerated in the Nicene Creed, then we shall add a few description that makes the Church slightly different from previous eras. Keep in mind, Good Friday is the center of LENT.
Let us begin with the treason of Judas. How did Judas become a traitor?  He loved money.  A few Sundays ago we saw 'you cannot love God and money. You will love one and hate the other.' So Judas, by loving money, ended up loving money and hating everything else. He hated God and neighbor. Having sold God, he could sell everybody else. Judas, by loving money, was spiritually possessed by Satan. And being possessed, Satan controlled him to be a traitor.
The eschatological interpretation is this. On the Sixth day, the whole world will be filled with traitors in the political and social spheres; but more so will there be traitors wherein the Catholic Church will be betrayed for a price to Satan.

2. The Catholic Church had been sold to Satan.
First, we shall show signs of treasons. Secondly, we shall show signs that the whole world, specially the Catholic Church, had been enslaved by having fallen victim to the three grand temptations of Satan.
Treason is the betrayal of a friend to an enemy. Judas betrayed Christ to the Pharisees. Today, every one is betraying their own. Egyptians betraying Egyptians, Syrians vs Syrians, American vs Americans.  Reading the news in pre and post U.S. election  the headlines are all acts of treason; the entire country has turned traitor to it's own elected President.  The whole world had turned traitor against its own God. Almost the entire hierarchy, headed by Pope Francis, had turned against Christ. Pope Francis had turned traitor to the underground Catholic Church of China and sold her to the Communist government. It is Good Friday, again, when the entire Roman and Jewish people had turned against Christ.
The Catholic Church today is experiencing Good Friday.  She must look exactly  as in Good Friday, otherwise, she would not be the Catholic Church. The purpose of eschatology is to enable us to track the Church through the centuries so we can recognize her during our own times. The Church during Good Friday is essentially identical but in some aspects different from the Church in Bethlehem on Christmas night. If we enter the Catholic Church today when it looks like on Christmas night, we would be entering a Protestant or Evangelical Church; not the Catholic Church. When we enter the Church, today she must look like the Church on Good Friday because we are now on the sixth day.

3. It is for this reason that if Catholics try to find out,  today, in what Church they are, most or them  will see that they are outside the Catholic Church. They have entered the wrong Church.
It is for this reason that the Liturgy of the Mass keeps on repeating the different images of the Catholic Church as she appeared portrayed in the seven days of creation.....to continuously inform Catholics to keep their bearings right. LENT begun by reminding us that with Lent we begin the sixth day with the creation of man. And if we learn all the lessons of Lent right, we shall see, indeed, that the Church today looks like the Church of the sixth day.
In the following posts we shall continue to show the description of the Catholic Church on the sixth day. And we shall see that those signs exist today. We shall, also, see that the Vatican Church of Pope Francis does not have any of the descriptions of the Church on the sixth day. Although Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict had been stressing this point. And because most Catholics could not get it, Pope Benedict made the unique gesture of leaving the off-dated Church to transfer to the Catholic Church of the sixth day. But most Catholics still do not get it.
Sadly, we see that practically all Catholics are in the off-dated church, i.e.  outside the Church, starting with Pope Francis and most of the Bishops and priests of the Catholic Church. And the rest of the Catholic world with them. It is just like Good Friday. While Christ and the apostles were in the Cenacle, the rest of the Chosen People, who still thought they were chosen were, in fact, outside and no longer Chosen.

TODAY IS LENT - The street and house number.

 1. Today is Lent.
St. Therese of Lisiuex wrote that it is easy to go to heaven. It is just like entering an elevator. The elevator will bring you up to heaven. Just enter the Catholic Church and the Catholic Church will bring you to heaven. But there are two questions we must ask. How does the Catholic elevator look like? And how do we enter that Catholic elevator?
This is how Hilaire Belloc puts it; if you want to visit a friend you must know the number of his house and the name of the street. St. Thomas of Aquinas puts it this way; if you want to go to heaven you must know the way that leads to the door of the house.
In other words, first, you must know the way and, secondly,  you must know how the house look like. The house is the kingdom of God here on earth; the house, like an elevator, will still bring us to heaven.

Belloc asked the two questions. First, what is the way or name of the street. Secondly, what is the number of the house or the address. It is by knowing both that we can enter the house or enter the Kingdom of heaven.
LENT is to know both the street and the number of the house. And every Liturgical Year, Holy Mother the Church reminds us the answer to these two questions. Even during his time, 1870, this famed Anglo-French writer and Catholic historian had noticed that the Catholics had forgotten both the street and the number of the house.
This LENTEN season is a good time for the Catholic Liturgy to remind us of the street and house number of the Catholic Church.

2. The street, the way.
The whole process of evangelization consist in preaching both, first, the way or street AND, secondly, by describing the house which is the Church. And we agree with Belloc that from the 1800 up to now, Catholics, both laymen and priests have forgotten both. They have lost their GPS. Lent reminds us of both. Let us look at the first, the street or the way that leads to the Catholic Church.
This is described at the last chapter of St. Matthew's Gospel on the Apostolic Commission when Christ told His disciples; first, 'to go to all nations. Secondly, baptizing them... Thirdly,  teaching them all My commands and, fourthly, teaching them 'How to observe them.' Practically all preachers preached steps one and two; but forgot steps three and four. Preachers just went touring to all nations, and pouring water on the heads of people but did not teach them the commands of Christ and how to obey them.  By the time of the French Revolution, most Catholics lost the data on the street and the house number.
The Catholic Church was being drained empty. In one life time, the Church was almost empty as can be seen in the number of saints and great Catholic writers, apologists and theologians.
' The street' as of today is not taught in any known seminary or theological school as noted by Pope John Paul II during his Papal visit to the Philippines. Pope Benedict was the last Catholic who did remind the whole world of 'the street' that leads to the door of the Catholic Church. After Benedict, the name of 'the street' was never mentioned again. But it can still be reviewed from Scriptures and described in detail by the Fathers of the Church.
The house number was not mentioned by any Pope from Pius XII to Benedict until Pope Benedict XVI mentioned it on December before he stepped aside.

3. The house number.
Having seen the street, let us look at the humber of the house on the door through which we can enter the Catholic Church. So we should know how the house look like, we should look for the door so we can check if it has the right number, through which we can enter the Catholic Church. That is lot of things to consider. But let us summarize it by asking this question. How does the Church look like? According to the Nicene Creed, it is One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic.
In this post, we would like to concentrate one one special aspect of the Church. Let us put aside the many other aspects of the Church. Let us look at its eschatological aspect only.

Eschatology. The image of the Church as a house is too limited. In truth the Church is a living entity. Unlike a house, the Church is alive. It changes, it grows, it becomes more and more Divine; and more eternal. It is impossible to envision the Church. But to suit the limitation of the human mind, the Church had been described as a young girl who grows up to maturity. She remains essentially the same; but there are changes that occurs in her. These changes had been described to portray the seven days of creation. Creation is essentially the same; but it changes that in one day there was a moon, while another day there is a sun. That is how she will look like from birth to her Resurrection.
The difficulty we face is that there is a street that leads to the house but the house keeps on changing in shape and color as a young girl stays essentially the same but changes in some ways. This is what makes it difficult to describe the street and the address.   It is not natural; it is spiritual and supernatural. So we are limited in describing it; but there is still much to it that cannot be described. The difficulty is in its eschatological aspect that corresponds to the seven days of creation.
It is like saying that St. Peter entered the Church when the Church was at the first day of creation. St. Thomas of Aquinas entered the Church at its fifth day of creation. And we can only enter the Church as its sixth day of creation. Today, we cannot enter the Church at its first and fifth day of creation. Nor can St. Augustine enter the Church at is sixth day of Creation. But St. Augustine can know how the Church like at its sixth day of Creation. This is called prophecy. But the knowledge is called eschatology.

4. St. Augustine and St. Bonaventure described the house number and the house.
Note that when Christ gave his apostles His apostolic commission to evangelize, He did not tell them to describe the Church they should enter to. Christ gave the street but not the house number; for the reason we gave above, because the Church changes according to the 7 days of creation.
When the apostles evangelized, the Church could have looked like the First day of creation. When St. Augustine evangelized, the Church could have looked like the Second day of creation. When St. Thomas of Aquinas evangelized, the Church could have looked like the Third day of creation.
What concerned St. Bonaventure was; how would the Church look during his era. What concerned Pope Benedict was, how would the Church look during his Papacy. Would it look like the fifth or sixth day? Because if we are to enter the Church she must look like the right day assigned to her by prophecy.
What concerned Joseph Ratzinger was that St. Bonaventure admitted that he made a mistake when he assigned his era, the 1200, as the sixth day of creation. Ratzinger tried to see where St. Bonaventure made a mistake. But his election to the Papacy prevented him from making his research. Nevertheless he tried to continue his research with his limited free time. By December 2012, Pope Benedict showed signs he found where Bonaventure made a mistake. The image of the Church on the sixth day did not occur during Bonaventure's time, but in the Papacy of Pope Benedict. So on December 2012, during his Christmas address he announced that we are on the sixth day; a comment nobody noticed nor understood.
Realizing that the image of the Church must correspond to the sixth day of creation, he saw that he was in the wrong place. So he made the necessary adjustment; he resigned and entered the Church of the sixth day.

5. The Church of the sixth day described.
The Church of the fifth day is essentially identical to the Church of the sixth day. It is still the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church of the Nicene Creed. But there are a few slight differences.
If we compare the Church to a house, the house number  and the street is still the same but the color of the house is different. Let us not enumerate the differences but let the reader research for these from the works of St. Augustine, St. Bonaventure and Pope Benedict. Because this is the spirit of Lent; for each soul to review the name of the street and to find out the house number. The Liturgy of the Lenten Season will guide us to answer these two questions.
To excite one's desire for the truth, however, let us see one difference between the Church of St. Thomas of Aquinas and the Church of Pope Benedict XVI. The Church of Thomas was very Philosophical. While the Church of Pope Benedict XVI was 'de auctoritate,' according to St. Bonaventure. That is a very big difference.
This is why if we look for the Church today we won't find it because most bishops do not know how it looks like today. This is what 'Lumen Gentium,' the document of Vatican II, could not describe. The crisis of the Catholic Church today is we cannot describe it correctly. The Vatican church of Pope Francis does not look like the Catholic Church of the sixth day described by St. Augustine and St. Bonaventure; and as noted by Pope Benedict. So Pope Benedict, having discovered this,  transferred from the fake church and went to the Church of the sixth day described by St. Bonaventure. Did you notice that the first reading of the First Sunday of Lent is about the sixth day of creation?
The Lenten Liturgy is telling us all to do the same; look for the street that leads to the true Catholic Church, then wait for someone who has found this true Church to point  the right house number. Only then should you enter; otherwise you might enter the wrong house. So watch out, SSPX.

NEW LEADERS.

 1. Christ had commanded the apostles to go to all nations, preached the Gospel, baptize and teach the commandments and how to observe them. When this had  been done, what next? Well, let's see what He did after He had preached around Capernaum and Jerusalem.
It is said that Christ preached silently one last time by his actions on Good Friday, then completely abandoned the Jews and went to the Gentiles. So Christ sends preachers only once. If those people insist on their unbelief, just like the Jews, He preaches silently for one last short time and abandon those who do not believe?  Yes.
By that time, a small Church had been established by Christ, Himself, just as the small Church in the person of Mary and the Apostles had already been established in Jerusalem when Christ was crucified. Then Christ abandoned the Jews and went to the Gentiles.
What if the Gospel had now been available to the Gentiles?...which is equivalent  to preachers having been sent to them.  When true preachers had been sent to a place,  a small Church surely had been established there and Christ will abandon that place leaving it to the small Christian community to expand.
Due to mass communication, the Gospel had certainly been available to the whole world. Small churches had certainly been established in some places around. What next? Well, Christ will have to abandon the world. Since there had been no one that had been neglected, Christ will just go back home to heaven and 'rest,' which we all know will happen because it is pre-figured by the Sunday Mass obligation.

2. That 'short silent preaching.'
Having preached throughout the whole world through mass communications, it is, now, time for a short silent preaching........a last touch to His preaching, before He leaves the unbelieving generation. Remember, this last touch is meant to aid those who are predestined to repent but who have not started their repentance. Yes, it has something to do with predestination. This last touch is not meant for those who have no intention to repent.

3.  This raises up  the phenomenon of the certain leaders raised by God, Himself. These leaders are meant to create, a mere socio-economic atmosphere, in aid of repentance. They are recognizable in that their platform is directed towards a certain natural morality that lead towards a supernatural morality. This natural morality is the basis for repentance; the supernatural morality leads to Faith. These leaders stands out from ordinary political leaders. They are surrounded by an aura of having been chosen by God.  This aura is not akin to holiness but shows the beginnings of humility as described by St. Augustine, St. Pope Gregory, St. Benedict and St. Bernard.
Evidence of these, which most people cannot detect because they are somewhat spiritual in nature, can be found in Putin, Duterte, Trump and Le Pen (leading presidential candidate in France.) Other leaders in the Netherlands, Italy, Africa are beginning to show the same signs but they are not yet in the news. These signs are identical to what the kings of Nineveh showed. Remember that it is the kings who helped create the atmosphere for repentance; it was not the priest nor the prophet Jonah.
So, today, this phenomenon will show that it is not the priests nor the bishop nor even the Pope that will lead the world for repentance. Even the Blessed Virgin said so. It will be lay, political leaders backed up by the prayers of the small church now hidden with the Woman clothed with the sun.

4. Further details we will put aside.
Since, like Nineveh, this is God's last touch after which God will abandon us and go somewhere else, let us repent as they did. Because they were given a short time to do it with a threat attached to it.
Repentance is the first step that will enable us to seek first the kingdom of God. In the last post, we saw God's command to seek first the kingdom of God and abandon everything else, like concerns about global warming and refugees and capital punishments; otherwise we might end up in eternal punishment. So everybody should know how to repent. Repentance is, also, the first topic taught in the evangelization of peoples. And as the Blessed Virgin had been complaining in her apparitions, hardly anybody is repenting.
Repentance is the first topic that Christ preached; 'Repent, believe.' Repentance is the first floor of the house upon where the rest of the spiritual edifice is  built on. Defective repentance and the whole Catholic building will collapse.

5. Lenten season is a season of repentance.
Let us briefly define repentance. Repentance has three elements, according to St. Augustine; Prayer, Fasting and Good works. If one of these element is lacking, there is no repentance and past sins are not forgiven.
First; to repent we must know our sins. Ordinarily, we cannot know our sins. Because like Adam and Eve we tend to blame others for our sins. Adam blames Eve. Eve blamed the snake. And the snake blamed the Russians. We never blame ourselves. We need God's help to know our sins and we get this help through prayers; thus the importance of the first element of repentance, Prayer. We cannot know our sins unless we pray to God and asked for His help.
Secondly; after knowing our sins with the help of prayer,  we must have the purpose of amendment in ceasing to commit that sin. But we cannot cease from sinning unless we ask God for help through prayer. Prayer again is needed. We must pray to know our sins and we must pray to stop committing those same sins. Now, you know why those past sins keep on coming back. Because we do not pray enough.
Thirdly; we cannot stop those past sins just be praying alone. We must accompany our prayers with fasting; 'this can only be overcome by prayer and fasting.' This is the way to overcome the devil who tempts us to sin. The command of Christ to go home, sell all your things and His command to leave father, mother, lands, etc is the act of fasting that must accompany our prayers. Note how religious do both; they pray and give up all things. The latter is the act of fasting. In fasting we do not give up only one meal, We give up everything, including our will and our life for the sake of Christ.
Fourthly; when we sell all our things, what do we do with the proceeds? Use it to save your soul; St. Augustine calls this your first act of almsgiving, give alms to your own soul. Then use the rest to help save the souls of others; this is love of neighbors or giving alms to your neighbors. Note that what we give as alms to others must come from our fasting or the giving up of what we own.
So there, we have the three elements of repentance; Prayer, Fasting and Good works. St. Augustine wrote that these three can be liken to a pigeon. Prayer is the body, Fasting is one wing and Good works is the other wing. The height that your prayer can reach will depend on the span of your two wings. The bigger the wings, the more the prayer can reach God. The more you give up in fasting, the more you will be able to give up in Good works. So what did Christ say; 'Give up all........father, mother, wife, lands...etc.. so you can do more Good works.
This is the spirit of Lent, the life of repentance. And the rise of this new breed of man and women in the political stage is God's way of  telling us, the new Ninevites,..... ' I have given these men and women the power to restrain the powers of evil for a short while; repent now...... or else.'
