THE WISE MAN BUILDS HIS HOUSE ON ROCK. Thursday of 12th Week in Ordinary Time.

 1. The Gospel.
It is about the foolish man and the wise man, the only difference between men. It is not the color of your skin, not your nationality, not your religion, not your sex, not your age, not your rank, not your place on the earth, not your dress.  It is what is in your intellect that matters. This makes all the issues in the world unwise concerns.
The world is in total confusion. To put some degree of understanding in it we must look at everything from the point of view of God. From that view everything makes sense. And wise intellects based their thinking from that point of view.

2. What matters most is what is in the intellect.
What the intellect thinks is the final goal in life.
There are really two faculties in the intellect; the cognitive and the appetitive or the will. The cognitive is the seeker of truth; the will is seeker of the good. Those two faculties are really great. Imagine aiming only at the truth and the good. What can go wrong?
Why is there so much unreasonableness and evil in the world? Because of original sin, both the intellect and the will went astray. Both revolted one against the other. There is a revolution going on within each person. And this comes out in the form of external human act, either in Congress or in exclusion area. It is called original sin, the sin of Eve who drag Adam and everybody else with her to self destruction. And it never ended. It is with us with a vengeance; that sinful desire to be like god. With our own version, by doing our own unreasonable evil desires and imposing that evil on everyone,  if possible on the whole world.
It is creating one's own kingdom or inclusion zone in revolt against God's kingdom. An example is that person who hates a white Jesus, wants to abolish it and wants the whole world to do likewise. Why should someone who, the world does not even know exist, all want to impose what he likes on the whole world. Like Eve, he wants to be like god.  Where does that ambitious temptation come from? From the serpent in the tree, Lucifer.
God tests all men so man will know who he is following;  Christ or the devil? And the Gospel presents these two choices. The wise man chooses Christ thus building his house on rock. And the foolish man choses the devil, who builds his house on sand.
So what matters is what is in your intellect, your true goal in life.  And what is in your free will, what have you chosen as your final good goal in life.  The contents decide whether we are wise or dumb. So what should matter next? Where our minds and hearts are built. Is it on rock or sand.
If the intellect is focus on the real good which is God and the real God who is good, then we are founded on rock. If the intellect is focus on something false and evil, then it is built on sand.

3. Who will decide what is true and good. Everybody has their own list and here is where total confusion begins. Not everybody has the truth and not everybody has the good. There can only be one truth and one good.
Only God who is above everything natural can decide what is true and good. Whatever is true and good in the natural level cannot be the truth and the good because it cannot be possessed permanently, which is the essence of happiness. So ultimately, God has to be the truth and the good.
For men to avail of this supernatural knowledge he has to rise up to the supernatural level. Man must know God, to know the truth and the good. Fortunately God revealed Himself to man for this purpose, to know the truth and the good because this is his salvation. And this is what matters most.
What matters, first, is what is contained in the intellect. What matters, next, is where is that intellect built on.

4. It matters if the mind and will are built on rock.
What is it to built the contents of the mind and will on rock? They must study the commands of Christ as found in the New Testament and obey them. To study and understand the commands of Christ in the New Testament is a function of the intellect.
Then Christ adds; and 'he who does them,' i.e. they who obey the commands of Christ as interpreted by the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, is liken to the wise man who built his house upon a rock.
The rain, floods and winds blow upon the house and it fell not for it was founded on rock. What are the rain, floods and winds? These are errors, heresies, mistakes, stupidities, etc. The soul will not fall.
The rock is Faith in Christ. This is a supernatural virtue and a gift from God, humanly unattainable. Nobody has this unless God gives it as a grace. It is a rock because all the commands of Christ are like sand cemented together forming a solid rock,  solidly integrated into a whole into love of God and neighbour.

5. The mind and will built on sand.
The sand is the devil whose temptations are as numerous as the sand and as divided as a mob. Such souls are totally confused with contradictory ideas. Their minds are not working, so the will that naturally tends to sin are let loose.
It is a return to the 'original sin of Adam and Eve,' wherein they sinned in doing their own will in disobedience to God's Will in their desire to be like gods. The temptation came from the devil. Thus these souls are foolish for being ignorant and disobedient to God's commands.
Comes the wind, flood and storm, i.e. the Words of God, and they totally collapse.

6. Christ was teaching how to go to heaven. This is what matters most.
Who will attain everlasting life after death? Not those who say 'Lord, lord.' Not those who prophesy. Not those who perform miracles. Not those who cast out devils. Not those who wear mitres and pectoral cross nor those with roman collars. Not those who dwell in Bishop's palaces or Vatican hotels. No, none of them. But only those who built their houses on rock.....which are very few.

7. What matters.
What matters is not the color of the skin but the contents of our minds and free will. What matters is on what the knowledge of those contents are built on. What matters is where it brings us, to heaven or to hell. If we go to hell, will anything else matter?  Ultimately where we go after we die is what matters most.

8. The pandemic showed what really matters.
The God-sent Corona virus pandemic showed the human race what are the things that really matters.
That it is most important to have leisure to think and study, what is true and what is good. And who is the true God.  The need for leisure is  a long time belief of all philosophers.
That being employed like a slave is not needed as long as you plant and raise animals for food.
That all schools can be closed because it is easier and faster to learn from home schooling while bringing the family closer together. St. Augustine who went to many schools where he got all his heresies had already written during his time of the uselessness of schools. The natural sciences taught in schools prevent the soul from learning supernatural truths. The first monastic schools, in fact, concentrates in teaching right reasoning, with a little arithmetic and reading. And parents can easily teach these.
That life can go on well with, absolutely, no entertainment. Though replete with dangers, the computer and cell phone are more than enough to know the truth and the good.
That doctor check up can be indefinitely postponed thus curing our neurasthenia.
That medicines are not needed if you repent well.
It is better to skip all those tours, pilgrimages and eating in restaurants. You can tour through videos and eat home cooking and cheap street food, thus keeping a good weight.
And that Christ's teaching to worship in spirit and in truth is better than going to church and hearing heresies. Also, it is revealing that to be a good moral person you don't need priest, bishops and Pope Francis. You just need the scriptures and the interpretation of Scriptures that is available free to down load from the computer.
That all those sins committed outside in the world can easily be avoided, specially adultery. Note how sins diminished during lockdown and how it multiplied when they went out.
Most have realised that a simple life is a happier life. Thus the news showing a lady choosing to remain lockdown for the rest of her life. That is like being a nun.

 9. In short, what matters is to repent for past sins which is God's message for this on going virus chastisement. That we learn and obey God's commands as wise men do. So that when buffeted by life's errors, trials and heresies we remain steadfast and reach what matter most, everlasting life in heaven.  Leave behind the world founded on sand that will eventually be destroyed by the very nature it worships.

DO NOT GIVE PEARLS TO SWINES. Tuesday of 12th Week in Ordinary Time.

 1. Gospel.
Why was the Mass cancelled during the corona virus pandemic? Because what was holy and valuable pearl was being given to dogs and swine. Nobody can know that but God, so God cancelled the Masses and used the dogs and swine to cancel the Masses. Again, only God can know that and only God can cancel the Masses world wide, except in some places with less dogs and swine probably.
' Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine.' This is a command of Christ. We have been studying the commands of Christ in the New Testament in the last few weeks of the Liturgical season.
They are gradually becoming more difficult to obey. But God's grace is there to help the soul because by this time in the Liturgy the soul should have  repented perfectly, have received the gift of Faith and is now progressing in the life of Faith by learning the more difficult commands of Christ in the New Testament.
If the truths of Our Lord Jesus Christ are needed for salvation why should we not teach them to all? Because some souls are dogs and others are swines. And Christ commanded us not to give it to them because 'they will trample them under their feet and turn against you and rend you.'

2. What is given to all neighbours and what is given only to those with Faith.
What are the holy things we must not give to dogs and what are the pearls that should not be given to swines. Aren't we supposed to give our neighbours everything necessary for salvation?
The 'love of neighbour' obliges us to give everyone temporal goods necessary for the welfare of the body; this is called 'corporal works of mercy.' But spiritual goods are given to men of Faith. Thus worldly goods are given to both those who are worthy or unworthy. Spiritual goods are given only to the men of Faith. Spiritual goods are not given to anybody; not to dogs and not swines. And we should know who they are.
St. Thomas of Aquinas wrote that the dogs are pagans who will assail and try to destroy the truth if presented to them.  Thus Catholics should not have pagans with them. And the swine are catholic unbelievers who despise and defile the truth they do not want to hear or they do not understand. St. Paul wrote, 'avoid them.'

3. Knowledge is needed here.
To be able to obey these commands of Christ, the soul must know the commandments of Christ. If ignorant, the soul could be throwing holy things and pearls to the zoo. The problem is that many Catholics today do not know the commands of Christ and their correct interpretation. They easily open their mouth and spew holy things and pearls to the dogs. Preachers could easily fall into this, not knowing who are their listeners.
Though the greater problem is that most people do not know what is holy and what are the Catholic pearls. So what do we do?
First, we must be certain what are the commands of Christ. For example, few preachers know that the above is a command of Christ. So the Gospel gives us a guide. There are many commands of Christ and most Catholics do not know what are these commands. Here is a  golden guide. Christ said; What you want done to you, do it to others; because this will, most certainly, be a command of Christ.
You want everyone to be patient with you, to be kind to you, to be helpful to you. Do it to others because that is most surely a command of Christ. You want others not to look at your sins, do it, also to others. This would most certainly be Christ's command.
In other words, the above golden guide will almost certainly be a command of Christ 'to love God and neighbour.'

4. An exception to the golden guide.
It is better to go about studying all and each command of Christ because there are exceptions like at the end of today's Gospel it states; 'enter by the narrow gate because this leads to life.' 'The wide gate leads to destruction.'
Note that this contradict the golden guide mentioned above. The golden guide states, what you want others to do to you.....' Now we  hear of something 'we do not want to do to ourselves, i.e. 'to walk the narrow road.'
We do not want to do  this to others because it will make us very unpopular to tell them to walk by the narrow road. Yet, we must tell others to do so. What is this?
To enter the narrow gate. We don't want that and others do not want that. But both of us must do it.

5. Narrow gate.
The narrow gate is Jesus Christ who is humble and meek. Thus we, too, must become humble and meek saying with Christ 'I came not to do my will but the Will of My Father in heaven.' It consist in overcoming the three passions of men; the desire for food and drink, the desire for women and the desire for sleep, St. Thomas wrote.
Not only must we embrace the first degree of humility but, if possible, to rise up to the twelve degrees of humility. That is a long narrow road, indeed. But it is nothing compared with eternity.

6. Wide gate.
The wide gate is the devil wherein we obey man's unbridled pride that makes him do, only,  what pleases him. Man's motive for all his actions is 'because I want it. I'll do it and force other to do it.' And there is no way of arguing against such unreasonable reasoning. The world today is in that state.  Each man is doing what he wants. There is no way of uniting them either for good or for evil because it would mean to  unite as many men with different wills. That is impossible.
The basic norm for judgement, today,  is 'I like this. I do not like that.' Man, today, does not go outside those two basic arguments called 'original sin.' This is the basic motivation of all men. Other motives are just fascades promoted to give an impression of righteousness.
Note a crowd demonstrating for a man they never knew existed. Why should they go out and demonstrate? Original sin that is common to all men; they want to do what they want which is contrary to the command of Christ,  which is usually a serious sin.
Why should they sin when they are not Catholics. Because God is their God whether they like it or not. And but His law, they are committing very serious sins against people and property.

7. Be wise.
Be wise as Blaise Pascal, famed intellectual  and scientist was. He said; 'be wise.' What if what is said above is wrong.' Then go home and look forward to a nice sleep.
But what if what was said above is right. How can you sleep if you know you are a dog or swine.  Or worse, that you have accidentally given the holy and the pearls to all kinds of animals.

MAN HAS NO FREEDOM TO DO EVIL.

 1. There is a final judge, God.
There will be a last judgment for all men before the true God, our Lord, Jesus Christ. All previous judgments are cancelled and all will be judged by a God who know all things, both what are in the minds and hearts; and what are the deeds of all men.  And judgement will be based on Divine Laws; because He, alone is true God. All the others, St. Paul wrote, are devils.
The Divine justice of this true God is shown by the fact that He has proven beyond reasonable doubt, based both on Philosophy and Theology, that He is the one and only True God. And He had given His laws upon which all final judgments will be based on. He describes who He is, what are His attributes and clearly explained what are His commandments upon which all judgment will be based on.
This is most fair, unlike other religions who cannot prove that their religions are the true religions based on, at least natural philosophy. There is nothing more that can be learned about them, who their gods are, their attributes or description  and all other things.
This Catholic God gave mankind the best proof that He, alone, is the true God because He became man, mixed with the human race and spoke to mankind. Nobody can deny His real existence.

Thus expect that in His judgment seat, those who were guilty on earth could be found innocent. And those who were heroes on earth could be found guilty. As St. Augustine wrote, 'those we expected to be heaven will not be there. And those  we expect to be in hell will not be there. Worse, and we who expect to be in heaven will not be there.
So as the wise Blaise Pascal wrote, be wise and consider the above truth could be the truth and make provision for it. Because if the above is not true, good for us. But if the above doctrine is true, then, we could be in very big trouble.

2. God made man free.
God made man with a free will. Man has a freedom not even God will violate. So man can put into practice his freedom. But God put a limit to his freedom. Man must use his freedom well, otherwise if he misuse it, he will be punished. Man is free to choose good or evil. But if he choose evil he will be punished. In short, man is free to go to heaven or go to hell. And God will not influence his choice and sent him to his place of choice.
Unfortunately, man does not always use his freedom well.

3. True Christian freedom.
Freedom is a means to attain human excellence; to work towards human happiness. Freedom is the capacity to choose wisely and act well. Freedom is using one's intellect and free will to long for the truth for goodness and for happiness that is inherent in all human beings.
The life of freedom is learned through a thorough education and by learning the example of those who have lived wisely and well. Freedom is used to lived a moral life according to the four moral virtues. This is what distinguishes the human person from the rest of the world. Freedom is attained by living, understood in the noblest sense, wherewith the human person is in union with the absolute good, which is God.

 4. Worldly freedom.
Not one of the so-called freedoms in the world, like the human rights,  i.e.  freedom of the press, to freedom to choose one's sex, fall under the above definition. Worldly freedom as practiced in the world is 'original sin' revived with a vengeance.  It consist in doing what each individual wants and impose what they want on others under pain of facing an angry demonstration. It sounds like the crowd on Good Friday because that is what they are;  a crowd out of control to commit 'original sin' again. It is the freedom preached by the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution. It is a miniature revolution identical with the revolution of the angels in heaven who became devils. It is the devil's main temptation to Adam and Eve in Paradise, to Soisy in France, to Lenin in Russia and to some US politicians and their minions. Nothing new here to see.
For this reason, all the worldly so-called freedoms, specially of speech and the press are serious sins which are difficult to forgive because of the great damage it does spiritually to others. Just think of the lies that has to be corrected before this sin is forgiven. See a lie published by the press; how can that lie be corrected before one's sins can be forgiven. You have to correct every one who have heard that life as purpose of amendment needed for repentance.
A lie, an unproven accusation, a mere suspicion, a slander, a pure gossip, an irrational slogan; before the eyes of God is from the father of lies, the devil.  The first act of freedom done by Eve was from the snake in the tree. And mankind  has been his minions.

CORPUS CHRISTI. How can He give us His flesh to eat.

 1. The Gospel
Corpus Christi is being explained by Holy Mother Church today, on the 11th weekday in ordinary time because only now can the soul understand its mystery. From Ash Wednesday, through Holy week, up to Pentecost, the Church had been raising the soul from the natural level to the supernatural level. All Catholic truths are in the supernatural level and can only be understood if a soul rises up to the supernatural level. And one of this important truth is 'Corpus Christi;' the main truth that brings a soul into the Catholic Church.
St. Thomas the apostle had a problem when he could not believe that Christ was God who could resurrect upon seeing His humanity. Only when he saw Christ as a resurrected God after knowing Him as man did he believe in Jesus Christ as God and man. Thomas, in a simpler way, believe that Christ was God while seeing Him before as man.
Man, today has three steps to take to make the same act of Faith. When he sees a piece of break, he has to believe that that bread is man, and that the same bread is God. That is harder than what Thomas did that is why Christ said; 'Blessed is he who do not see but believe.' We do not see Christ as a man; we do not see Christ and believe that  He is God.
Today, we do not see Christ as man and God in a bread; and yet we have to believe that that piece of bread is man and God.
Like the crowd fed by Christ, that is impossible to believe. And it is impossible for all man to believe that a piece of bread is a man and a God. Man needs a lot of supernatural graces to believe that. In fact man must have a mind like God to even dream of such a truth. And that is precisely what happened. Our dear Lord had to come to the soul together with the Father and the Holy Spirit to enable a soul to come to believe in it.
That is why Corpus Christi is celebrated only today. We must, first, come to know Christ, then know the Father in knowing Christ. And the soul must receive the Holy Spirit through the breathing of Christ on Easter. The Blessed Trinity must dwell in one's soul for the soul to fully believe that that piece of wafer is a man and the Second person of the Holy Spirit; in which case the Blessed Trinity is in that host, surrounded by the heavenly host.

2. During the lockdown.
From Ash Wednesday, the Church picked up the human soul from the natural level; raised him up to the spiritual level during Holy Week and Easter. And by Pentecost, the soul received the grace to fully believe that Jesus is man and God. And by today, the soul should have receive the grace to believe that the consecrated host is the body and blood of Christ.
The just mentioned Liturgical truths are learned every year from Ash Wednesday to Pentecost up to the 11th week in ordinary time. But men seldom learn them for a hundred reason but more often because they easily forget them through read and explained to them. So Holy Mother the Church repeats these truths once a year, every year in three Cycles, A, B and C, because not to learn these truths or to forget them is tantamount to being ignorant of the truths in which case, it is impossible for men to know what is 'Corpus Christi.'
Most Catholics have forgotten last years lessons on how to rise from the natural level and climb to the supernatural level so they did not understand the mystery of 'Corpus Christi.'
This year, due to the Coronavirus, there were no Masses for the last more than three months in which case all the lesson on how to rise from the natural level and climb up to the supernatural level were missed by everybody, both hierarchy and laymen. So today, nobody would understand the mystery of 'Corpus Christi.'

3. The Mystery of 'Corpus Christi'
This is not a matter of just saying the words that describes the mystery. It is knowing with the mind what Christ meant when He said, 'I am the bread of Life.' And when the free will commands the mind to believe this impossible to believe truth.
As mentioned, it is impossible for all men to believe this truth. And yet, as St. Thomas of Aquinas wrote, this truth must be believed that it may be understood. God has to give the soul graces to be able to believe this truth. To whom will Christ give the grace to believe this truth?

4. Two kinds of listeners to Christ.
There were two kinds of people listening to Our Beloved Lord. The crowd and the apostles. Remember, this happened during the miracle of the multiplication of the bread. After feeding the crowd Christ preaches this truth; 'I am the living Bread. You must eat My flesh and drink My blood. And you will have everlasting life.'
The crowd found this preaching impossible to believe so they left Him and no longer walked with Him. So Our Lord looks at His apostles and asked them; 'Will you also leave Me.'
Peter answers; 'Lord, if we leave You, to whom shall we go?'
How come the crowd no longer walked with Christ, while the apostles continued to walk with Christ?  The crowd were 'lovers of the world.' They wanted to follow Christ because Christ had just fed them free. Imagine a leader who can feed you for life free of charge. They were expecting worldly things from Christ because they were lovers of the world. Being lovers of the world they were unworthy to receive graces from God. So they were not able to rise to the supernatural level and understand the mystery of 'Corpus Christi."
During this lockdown, those who failed this test showed their true color. They are people who wanted the world free of charge. They are looking for a worldly leader who would give them everything free as what most US politicians are promising, free everything; health care, schooling, food, money. They are looking for a saviour who will give them everything free. Sorry, there is no such thing.
Who are those who passed the test during this pandemic chastisement? Those who were looking on how to saved their souls if they die of this virus. To these God  will make them understand how His Body and Blood is consumed spiritually.  These will understand how they can eat and drink the body and blood of Christ unto the salvation of their souls. And this knowledge will be like a fountain in their souls with which they will never thirst again.

5. Why are there no Masses today?
With this 'Corpus Christi' so important for salvation, how come God had allowed it to cease during this pandemic?  This was a work of God, not by men, not by any virus.  Because nobody understands it, nobody believes in it, nobody is worthy to receive it. God is most desirous to give this to men. But God did not want to give it to men for his condemnation, as St. Paul warned us when we take this bread unworthily. God is doing this to prevent man from being condemned to hell. Thus, this pandemic is a message for man to become worthy to receive the Body of Christ by living a life of repentance; the perfect environment for doing this is a long, long lockdown, no entertainments (and Hollywood and the tech giants will hate me for this) and plenty of Good works by helping the so many people in need around the whole world.

SUICIDES AND RIOTS come from the LOCKDOWN. FEAST of PENTECOST.

  1. Signs of true followers of Christ.
Love (Charity). 'By this all men will know that you are My disciple, your love for one another.' That love is 'Charity,' or Caritas; and this is not the love the world knows. The love taught by Hollywood, the love songs, commercials, etc, are mere emotional or sentimental. It only last as long as a deep breath. While Charity is eternal because it is spiritual.
From Easter up to Pentecost, Holy Mother the Church showed through the Liturgy that Charity is not man made. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Nobody can have Charity unless the Holy Spirit gives it.
And yet, for Catholics, love between husband and wife should be Charity. Between parent and children, between neighbours. But this is rare today because the assigned teacher, the hierarchy does not know what is Charity as Pope Benedict noted in his encyclical 'Deus Caritas est.'
Today, it is difficult if not impossible to find the true Catholic Church because the 'love you have for one another' is nowhere to be found. There is must human or sentimental love. But not the theological virtue of Charity.

2. The stages.
To attain the theological virtue of Charity from God, one must pass through perfect repentance, as taught during Ash Wednesday. And reach perfect Faith, as taught during Holy Week. Then God will grant the soul the theological virtue of Charity that empowers the soul to love one's neighbour. And later on love God; much later on.
With the beginnings of Charity, the soul has the sign he love God and is, therefore, inside the Catholic Church. He is a true follower of Christ because he loves his neighbour with a supernatural love.

The Gospel for today is not of Pentecost, when the apostles received the power to love God,  but of Easter, when the apostles received the power to love one's neighbour.
Though Christ said that the two are the same , love of neighbour and of God.

  3. Charity has one fruit, joy.
Charity is a spiritual virtue. It is difficult to know if you have it or if anybody else have it. But it has external signs called fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. And we would like to deal with one fruit, JOY.
      The opposite is loneliness.
People today can be divided into two; those who are joyful and those who are lonely. While joy is a spiritual fruit and more difficult to discern, loneliness is a human emotion and can easily be detect.
Let us paint two pictures that will describe why people are joyful while others are lonely. The later will explain why people commit suicide and go on a riot. It will be obvious why certain people are joyful.

4. The joyful.
A true religion should have two basic concepts. First, the awful and sinful state of man. And secondly, the true Goodness and omnipotence of a God who loves mankind. Without both or either, a religion cannot be a religion. Only the Catholic religion have these concept, they are explained well the state of man and who is God,  and it has the solution to the abnormal state of affairs. The Catholic solution is what brings joy.
Joy is a permanent possession of the eternal Good. Unless it is a permanent possession it cannot be joy. Anything temporary cannot give joy. So what is possessed must be eternal.

 5. Who will receive the fruit JOY.
Now, let us look at the state of man. Because of the sin of our first parents, Adam and Eve, the human race is born with corrupt minds and hearts. Born innocent, when a man grows up he begins to commit actual sins.  Then he accumulates more sin and his soul becomes ugly.
Ordinarily, man finds it unbearable to see the ugliness of his soul. He cannot stand it, and with good reason. However, if this man has a knowledge of a God who is All Good, who is most willing to forgive all his past sins and beautify his soul, this man will wisely find out how to approach this God and asked for His forgiveness and the restoration of his soul into a beautiful soul. He knows God have promised this and this God even became man and died on the cross in His great desire to forgive and restore man's former beautiful soul,.... on the condition that he repents.
The soul repents and God forgives all his sins, restore the former beauty of his soul and, even, gives him joy here on earth which is a foretaste of his happiness in heaven.
The man has joy, which Christ described, which 'no man can take away from you.' This is permanent joy. Nothing on earth can bother him.

Remember the two permanent images; on one side the sinful man with an ugly soul. On the other side a Good and omnipotent God who is ready to forgive and beautify one's soul.
This God has a condition in rehabilitating one's ugly soul. His instructions and commands must be followed. The first step is for the sinful man to repent for the forgiveness of all his past sins that made his soul ugly. The sinful soul can only hope for forgiveness and rehabilitation when he obeys all the instructions of God.
When they have obeyed, they will receive the Holy Spirit, the virtue of Charity and joy.
These people don't mind the lockdowns. They have joy; they don't need anything else to entertain themselves. They are quite contented with whatever happens.

6. The lonely soul.
Let us look again at the human soul born with original sin and have increased in actual sin as he has grown. All souls have the desire to see the state of their souls but, also, have the desire not to know the ugliness of their soul. The soul have to choose between those two conflicting desire; both are natural in the soul.
When the soul discovers the ugliness of their souls due to many sins, this makes them sad or lonely. The philosophers wrote that man must never look at the ugliness of their souls without looking at the true God at the same time because he will become terribly lonely.
The tendency of the soul is to remove that loneliness. The best way to remove that loneliness is mentioned above; this results in joy.
But what if the soul does not have an idea of a benevolent Saviour. Or has a wrong notion of who is the Saviour. Or worships an idol or worse worships the devil. Or he does not have any idea of a God like an atheist. Or he can be a Catholic with a distorted idea of God or of Christ. Or simply does not think of god.
Then he will see that he has no one to forgive the ugliness of his sins and nobody to beautify his soul. He, hopelessly is seeing the ugliness of his soul.  This is an unbearable sight. It is his own soul. So what does he do? To avoid this inner self-reflection that makes him see his soul, he goes out of himself. He plays golf, he runs for public office, he invents the computer, he gets a doctorate, he looks for a job, he marries, he gets rich, etc. He will do a thousand things just to avoid self-reflection and see his ugly soul. In the world this is the basic reason man does all the things that he does.
Going out of himself to distract himself from seeing his ugly soul, and it usually works. So he does these activities to avoid self-reflection. Other people may think he is an avid worker dedicated to his job. But the truth is that he just have an ugly soul that he is avoiding to confront. The joyful man, on the other hand, avoids all these activities to confront his own soul,  concentrating on the most important things, the things of heaven and God.
What if in avoiding seeing his ugly soul, the distraction does not work. For instance, watching TV or viewing Facebook or You Tube does not distract him enough. He still sees his ugly soul. Then he will look for more distracting activities. Instead of taking a peaceful walk, he might add some activity like looting a few stores and burning a few cars along the way. And spitting on some policeman on the beat. If this still does not distract him from his ugly image os his soul, he will try to find more absorbing distraction like being a terrorist or starting a war.
The trouble with this varied distracting activities is that they are making him more and more sinful. Thus his soul is getting uglier and more unbearable to behold. There is no end to it.
He will, however,  always find a moment of leisure, like while driving, and he will see his now ugliest soul. He may find some more new distraction, like starting a new diabolical religion.
The more he distracts himself, the more he becomes unrealistic. He starts to become insane and hallucinates that he is someone else than that ugly figure. Maybe a Napoleon.

7. The suicidal.
As long as a man with an ugly sinful soul have distractions to prevent him from self-reflection, he will continue to live for the purpose of distractions to avoid seeing their ugly soul. Notice how man work so hard to build a house, settle down, relax and just reminisce. The moment he sits down on his rocking chair in a quiet veranda and sees the state of his soul, he literally jumps up and engages in frenzied activities to distract himself from that face to face encounter with his soul. All the riches men are like that. That cannot really cease from all activities, relax and just sit down to enjoy their wealth. No, they will suddenly see their ugly souls and jump up to look for new activities to distract themselves, like take a cruise.
Since they have tried everything like buying and doing everything, they would probably try killing babies in the womb.
When you don't go to the true God to ask forgiveness and receive His mercy, you will go from worse to worse. Until nothing can distract you. And you commit suicide as the easy way out from seeing your true self.

8. During the lockdown.
The young who commit suicide simply ran out of distractions too early because the lockdown gave them few choices. The computer, cell phone and home cooking could not prevent them from seeing the true state of their souls.

The rioters have more opportunities for distraction because they opened up and had more choices of distractions.
Both did what they are doing to escape seeing the horrible image of their sinful souls.

9. Instead of running away from your ugly image with wallowing in more sinful distractions, why not go to the Blessed Lord, repent and let Him in His great Goodness forgive you and beautify your soul with the grace of Charity. That is Love. Imagine being known as someone who loves rather than one who commit suicide or one who looted a store.

10. What should we have done?
We should have removed all ugliness of sins as taught on Ash Wednesday. Then know the  true God who will forgive and beautify your soul as taught on Holy Week. The forgiveness and beautification, if accomplished on Easter, Joy is given to the soul on Pentecost.
If this is done, no need for all the things done during this pandemic. No need for vaccine. That easy? The Almighty God made it that easy. Why so easy? Because HE is Almighty.
